My name is Ariana Alanis and I am pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. In high school, I received three scholarships that would benefit me in my first year of college. I am grateful for all of the scholarships I received but the one that helped me the most was the CAMP scholarship. CAMP is College Assistance Migrant Program and because my parents have worked in agriculture in the past and in the present it benefited me in my freshmen year of college. I am a full time student and during my sophomore year I plan to apply for a job on campus to help my parents out with any unexpected fees that may arise. I want to further my education at Western Michigan University and I hope by the end of my freshmen year to expand my knowledge on careers in the Criminal Justice field.
