I immigrated to the United States around the time of my 4th birthday. I enjoy reading books about entrepreneurship and philosophy and am pursuing a major in Computer Engineering at San Jose State University. My father decided to bring all of us from Mexico because he didn't want to conform to the quality of life we would create in Mexico and wanted us to be exposed to better education opportunities; he started working the fields when he first got here and couldn't conform to that either. As a result I adopted the same mindset and I won't conform to a 9-5 job for longer than necessary to acquire the skills to start my own company- by acquiring wealth I would like to give back to future generations of farm working students through scholarships.
