My parents worked alongside my grandparents picking crops in California upon their arrival to the United States. Their experiences have served as a reminder to me of what they have sacrificed for me to have the opportunity to improve my career aspirations through education. Since finishing my undergraduate studies, I have worked primarily in engineering-related roles in my career. I am attending the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan to transition into a career in finance in the technology industry. Eventually I hope to work as a venture capitalist, investing in growth stage companies in emerging markets, to provide capital and guidance to entrepreneurs who would otherwise be overlooked because they are located in under-served markets.
