Throughout the years, I have seen my parents work hard in the fields on a daily basis in the harsh weather conditions. During the year, my parents work with different types of crops depending on the season. For example, during the Winter they pick oranges and mandarins but for Spring they pick peaches and apricots. Performing this job of picking and packing fruit in the fields it's difficult, my parents have always encouraged me to stay focused in school so I can have a better life. They motivate me to start thinking about a college, different pathways I can take and careers I would be a good fit for. Therefore I consider myself a good investment because I have a positive mindset that will allow me to stay focused on my pathway to obtain a college degree in Spanish with a teaching credential and eventually attend graduate school.
