My name is Rosa Rodriguez, I am 18 years old and I was born and raised in the small town of Zacatecas Mexico. I migrated to the United States when I was nine years old. Both of my parents are farm workers. It was hard for me to get used to the new language and the new cultures. Every summer, since I was 11 years old, my mom would take me to work to the grape fields to see how hard it would be if I decided not to attend to college.
I am currently attending California State University, Fresno and my educational goal is to become a Kindergarten Teacher or a Social Worker. I would love to graduate from college and get my degree to make my parents proud and to make them feel like all their hard work was worth it. I believe I am a good investment because I would use that money to become successful and hopefully one day help others the same way I was helped.
