I originally resided in central valley of California in a small city called Selma. Growing up, my parents taught me the valuable lessons of hard work and dedication and how those two things would help me succeed in life. My parents have worked in the farming industry since they first migrated to the united States in the 1990s. My father still currently works in the transportations business of crops such as oranges and lemons in the central valley. My mother and I have worked in packing houses, where we packed fruits such as peaches and Nectarines. My goal is to succeed in my academic career at the University of California Davis and to pursue a bachelors of science degree in civil and environmental engineering.
