I was born in Fresno, California and am the oldest of three siblings. I lived in Fresno until the age of 9, when my family moved to the nearby town of Hanford. Being raised in the Central Valley, both my parents were farm workers picking and packing a variety of fruits and vegetables. I have worked in the fields since the age of 13 to help my parents with expenses. I have worked during summer vacation and sometimes during spring and winter breaking for the past 4 years, picking grapes, peaches, strawberries, and other fruits. Working as a Farmworker is very hard and doesn't pay much, but my parents and I are willing to work if it means we can put food on the table and a roof over our heads.
Currently, I am a Sophomore at Fresno State University majoring in criminology and plan to become a CHP. I enjoy volunteering, traveling, attending church and helping people in my community.
