My parents always taught me that nothing in life is free; you must work for everything. As a young boy I remember picking oranges in the fields my parent's side. With the money I earned for my work, I was able to purchase clothes and supplies for school.
My family encouraged me to earn my education. Now, I am a graduate student at California State University, Fresno studying counseling. With this degree, I hope to work with either high school students or college students to help them succeed and accomplish their goals.
